Awards & Recognition
These awards are for mid-career faculty who have demonstrated remarkable contributions to the University through outstanding achievements in scholarly research and/or creative endeavors; excellence as a teacher, researcher, advisor and mentor; and distinguished participation in the service activities of the university and elsewhere.
Faculty Awards for Professional Excellence
Presented each year to faculty members who substantially and demonstrably exceed performance expectations in one or more of the following areas: Teaching, Scholarly and Creative Engagement, Institutional Responsibility, or Service. In order to be considered for a Faculty Award for Professional Excellence, an eligible faculty member must be nominated for the award and must submit the necessary documentation to support that nomination, in accordance with the guidelines.
Research Awards
Grants and Fellowships: Recognition through funding opportunities for significant research proposals in the form of seed money.
Peer Recognitions
Best Paper Awards: Given at academic conferences for outstanding research papers.
Lifetime Achievement Awards: Celebrates a career of contributions to a field of study.
Professional Recognition
Fellowships in Professional Organizations: Recognizes faculty who have made significant contributions to their professional community.
Honorary Titles: Such as “Emeritus Professor” for retired faculty who have had a distinguished career.
