Novel Super capacitor for Energy Storage Applications
Event Date: 20.09.2024
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences (now Annamacharya University) organized a guest lecture on “Novel Super capacitor for Energy Storage Applications” on 20th September 2024. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Anusuya Bhattacharyya, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at VIT Vellore. Dr. Bhattacharyya provided an in-depth exploration of the innovative role of supercapacitors in energy storage, emphasizing their advantages in terms of high power density, rapid charge-discharge cycles, and potential applications in renewable energy systems. The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. L. Baya Reddy, who played a crucial role in organizing and executing the program.
The lecture offered students and faculty valuable insights into the design, development, and integration of supercapacitors in modern energy systems. This initiative not only fostered academic curiosity but also encouraged participants to explore cutting-edge solutions for global energy challenges. The program underscored the department’s commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences and keeping the academic community updated with the latest advancements in electrical and electronics engineering.
