Dear Students, Faculty Members, and Stakeholders,
It gives me great pride and responsibility to address you as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Annamacharya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Rajampet.
With over 17 years of combined industry and academic experience, including a significant research focus in Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems and advanced manufacturing technologies, I am committed to leading our department towards academic excellence and industry relevance. Our primary focus is to equip students with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, fostering innovation, problem-solving, and leadership
capabilities.
Our B.Tech. program is structured to provide comprehensive technical education, supplemented with elective courses, skill development programs, seminars, and industry interactions. Initiatives like industrial visits, workshops, and hands-on laboratory training ensure that students are well-prepared for careers in core and interdisciplinary sectors.
We take pride in our department’s research-driven approach, demonstrated through our collaborations, patents, and publications in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals. The M.Tech. program in Machine Design continues to encourage postgraduate research and innovation, aligning with current industry needs.
Additionally, students are encouraged to pursue Minor Degrees and Honors Programs to broaden their academic horizons and enhance their employability.
Our department’s greatest strength lies in its dedicated faculty members, who bring a blend of academic rigor and industry insight. As active contributors to both teaching and research, they play key roles in academic administration and student mentorship.
Together, we are committed to nurturing future engineers who can contribute meaningfully to society and industry.
