Event Name: International Malala Day – Elocution Competition on Girls’ Education

Annamacharya University, Rajampet, celebrated International Malala Day on 12 July 2025 by organizing an elocution competition on the theme “Breaking Barriers – Overcoming Cultural Norms that Hinder Girls’ Education” through the Touchstone initiative. The event encouraged students to discuss the importance of girls’ education and explore ways to overcome cultural barriers. P. Kiran (III Year, CSE-AI) won the First Prize, while S.A. Saniya Anjum (III Year, CSE-AI) secured the Second Prize. Mr. C. Yella Reddy, Vice Chairman, presented the prizes and congratulated the winners, while Dr. S.M.V. Narayana, Principal, appreciated the students’ efforts and commitment. The programme was attended by Dr. L. Obulapathi, Head of H&S Department, Mr. P. Vijay Kumar, Touchstone Coordinator, faculty members, and students.
