Event Name: Poster Release of One-Week Faculty Development Program on “Sustainable Innovations in Civil Engineering”

Annamacharya University officially released the poster for a One-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Sustainable Innovations in Civil Engineering”, to be organized by the Department of Civil Engineering. The poster was unveiled by Mr. C. Abhishek Reddy, Pro-Chancellor of Annamacharya University, and was subsequently presented to Dr. E. Sai Baba Reddy, Chancellor of the University, and Dr. S. M. V. Narayana, Principal of AITS Rajampet. The event marked the beginning of an important academic initiative aimed at enhancing faculty expertise in sustainable civil engineering practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. N. R. Gouthami, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, highlighted that the FDP would feature expert sessions from distinguished academicians and industry professionals from premier institutions including IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Tirupati, Sri Venkateswara University, NIT Warangal, and MITS. The program is designed to provide faculty members with practical and research-oriented knowledge in areas such as green building concepts, sustainable construction techniques, eco-friendly engineering solutions, earthquake-resistant design, water resource management, modern construction technologies, and advanced engineering software tools.

The FDP is expected to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, promote innovative research, enhance teaching quality, and support skill development aligned with current industry requirements. Faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department participated in the poster release event and expressed confidence that the program would contribute significantly to academic excellence and future research opportunities. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to advancing sustainable technology-driven education and fostering innovation in civil engineering.
