Dr. D. Lokanadha Reddy, a distinguished plant breeder, holds an MSc in Genetics and Plant Breeding (1983) and a PhD from IARI (1995). Over his career, he served in key roles at ANGRAU and various institutions, including Principal Scientist (Groundnut) at ARS Kadiri, Associate Dean at Agricultural College, Bapatla and Head of Genetics and Plant Breeding at SV Agricultural College, Tirupati.

Dr. Reddy developed several notable crop varieties, including PJ-1 (jowar), PBG1 (blackgram) and over 10 groundnut varieties like TPT3, TPT4, Narayani, Anantha, Lepakshi, and Chitravathi. His work in seed production significantly boosted agricultural productivity. With 25 research publications, he is acclaimed for his contributions to both research and administration.
