A Research Committee is a specialized group within an academic or research institution tasked with overseeing and guiding the research activities of the university. This committee typically comprises experienced faculty members or researchers who provide strategic direction, evaluate research proposals, ensure adherence to ethical standards, and monitor the progress of ongoing projects.

The following activities will be taken care by the Research committee in the department.

1. Keeping an eye on each research group’s specific research activities
2. Assigning guides to the scholars; assessing and evaluating the department’s research progress.
3. Carrying out evaluations, departmental discussions, planning OpenTalks, and scholar final defenses.
4. Keeping the department’s research environment of high caliber.
5. Examining the initiatives and research proposals.
6. Examining potential recipients of funding for initiatives
7. Involves in scrutinizing the proposals for seminars and conferences
