Department
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
About us
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering started in the academic year 1998-99 as key entity of Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences under the affiliation of JNTU with an intake of 40 students, and increased to 60, 120, 180 and 240 subsequently. Since then, there has been consistent development in all spheres including infrastructure facilities, staff development and student development. The programmes offered by the department under the JNTU were brought under the ambit of Annamacharya University from the academic year 2024-25.
The department offers B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), M. Tech (Electrical Power Systems) and Ph. D in Engineering. The Programme B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering has accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Importance of EEE
Electrical engineering is an important part of modern society. This factor comprises the design, development, and implementation of energy resources. From automation communication, everything relies on electrical energy.
An electrical engineer must ensure the best use of the resources provided by energy. Without their presence, we would not have electricity in our houses, industries, factories, and businesses.
With a rapid decrease in non-renewable energy sources like coal, fossil fuel, and gas, it is adamant to have electrical engineers in the future. With their ability to preserve energy and accelerate sustainable and renewable energy usage, the future might be secure to an extent.
It is not the right word to say that electrical engineers are important for the future. The correct statement is that electrical engineers are the future.
Future of EEE:
Innovation-driven industries have enormous growth potential and offer tremendous opportunities for electrical engineers. Electric vehicles, smart grids, robotics, and consumer electronics are some examples of emerging sectors in which sales are projected to grow 10% or more a year over the coming decade.
Job Positions for EEE:
Career Options are Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Network Engineer, Control Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, Design Engineer, System Engineer and not limited.
