Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Annamacharya University
Our department is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of engineers through a blend
of strong academic curriculum, hands-on learning, and a focus on innovation. We align
our teaching and research with emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI),
Internet of Things (IoT), Green and Renewable Energy, Smart Grid Technologies, and
Electric Mobility.
Dr. S. Sarada is the Head of the Department, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering with 19 years of continuous experience in teaching at Annamacharya University, Rajampet. She holds a Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from JNTU Anantapur, with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives, along with an M.Tech in Power Electronics from SKDU, Anantapur, and a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad.
Her research contributions span over a decade, with 50 research publications in the areas of power quality, FACTS devices, multilevel inverter technology, motor drives, renewable energy integration, and electric vehicle technologies. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing emerging technologies in electrical engineering and addressing contemporary challenges in sustainable energy and intelligent power systems.
In recognition of her reasearch, she has received two Best Paper Awards also because of her academic and professional contributions, she received Women Engineer Award in 2025. She has been a continuous Associate Member of The Institution of Engineers (India) since 2012, demonstrating her longstanding association with the professional engineering community.
