Electronics & Communication Engineering - About Us
About Us:
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 1998 with an initial intake of 60 students. The intake was subsequently increased to 120 in 2006, 180 in 2011, 240 in 2020, and further expanded to 360 in 2025. Since its inception, the department has played a vital role in producing industry-ready engineers. To meet the ever-evolving needs of the industry, the department is supported by highly qualified, skilled, and experienced faculty members specializing in diverse domains of Electronics and Communication Engineering, including VLSI, Embedded Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Image Processing, and Biomedical Image Processing.
The Department has been accredited by a National Board of Accreditation (NBA) thrice in years of 2009, 2021 and 2024.
The Department is offering the 4 years UG Program (B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering), 2 years PG Program (M. Tech in Embedded Systems) and Doctoral Programs.
The Department has established state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with advanced technology across various fields, including electronics, communication, VLSI, embedded systems, integrated circuits, and microprocessors. To support diverse specializations, the latest simulation tools are utilized, offering capabilities for measuring, characterizing, and synthesizing both experimental and theoretical data.
