About the Research Committee
The Research Committee of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Annamacharya University, Rajampet, is constituted to encourage and promote research activities among faculty members and research scholars of the department.
The committee provides academic guidance and support for strengthening the department’s research culture, promoting quality research publications, encouraging funded research projects, facilitating research collaborations, and supporting faculty members in pursuing doctoral and other research activities.
The committee functions under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department, with representation from Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Objectives of the Research Committee
- To promote a strong research and innovation culture within the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- To encourage faculty members to undertake quality research and publish their findings in reputed journals.
- To motivate faculty members to submit research proposals for funding from government agencies and other organizations.
- To encourage interdisciplinary and collaborative research activities.
- To support research scholars in their academic and research activities.
- To facilitate the publication of patents, development of innovative technologies, and research-based solutions to industrial problems.
- To monitor and encourage the progress of departmental research activities.
