76th Republic Day Celebrations at Annamacharya University

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor and grandeur at Annamacharya University on Sunday. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. C. Ramachandra Reddy, Chairman of Annamacharya Educational Trust and a renowned pediatrician.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion of Republic Day, Dr. Ramachandra Reddy paid homage to the sacrifices made by the architects of the Indian Constitution. He highlighted that the Indian Constitution, regarded as one of the greatest in the world, has played a pivotal role in providing freedom, equality, and justice to every citizen. He emphasized that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of immense sacrifices by countless freedom fighters, and called upon every citizen to serve the nation with responsibility.
He further spoke about the importance of eliminating corruption, appreciating the hard work of farmers, and the sacrifices of soldiers. He encouraged the youth to utilize the rights given by the Constitution responsibly and proactively contribute to the development of the nation.
To commemorate the occasion, the university organized various competitions such as essay writing, elocution, cultural programs, and sports events. The winners of these competitions were felicitated with certificates of appreciation and prizes, presented by Dr. C. Ramachandra Reddy.
The event was attended by Dr. N. Mallikarjuna Rao, Registrar of Annamacharya University; Dr. S.M.V. Narayana, Principal of AITS; Dr. D. Swarnalatha, Principal of Pharmacy College; Dr. B. Jayaramireddy, Principal of B.Ed. College; Dr. D.J. Samatha Naidu, Principal of PG College of Computer Studies; Sri G. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, Principal of Gangireddy Degree College, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students.
