Independence Day Celebration

Grand Independence Day celebrations were held at Annamacharya University, Rajampet, on Thursday in honor of the 78th Independence Day. The event was graced by the University Chairman, Dr. C. Ramachandra Reddy, who attended as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Reddy highlighted the significant progress India has made in various fields since gaining independence, transforming into a powerful nation on the global stage. He reminded everyone that the freedom we enjoy today is a result of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

During the event, Dr. Ramachandra Reddy awarded prizes to students and faculty members who excelled in the oratory, essay writing, and sports competitions held at the college. He encouraged everyone present to honor the freedom fighters by proudly hoisting the national flag at their homes. College Principal Dr. S.M.V. Narayana also addressed the gathering, urging the youth to foster a sense of patriotism and contribute to the development of India, aiming to elevate the nation to the highest ranks globally. The celebration was attended by Annamacharya University Registrar Dr. N. Mallikarjuna Rao, principals of Annamacharya institutions including Dr. D. Swarnalatha, Dr. D.J. Samathanaidu, Dr. B. Jayaramireddy, G. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, deans, heads of various departments, Physical Directors Dr. B. Nagamuni, Assistant Physical Director S. Saifulla, Administrative Officer Nooka Subbareddy, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students.
