Annamacharya University celebrated National Mathematics Day with great enthusiasm on the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. To mark the occasion, the university organized an Arithmetic and Reasoning Test for engineering students, providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate their mathematical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Students from various departments participated enthusiastically in the competition and showcased their quantitative and logical reasoning skills.

Based on their outstanding performance in the test, three students were declared winners. G. Sree Vidya (First Year), M. Indrasena Reddy (Second Year), and K. Yousuf Basha secured top positions and were recognized for their excellence. The prizes were presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. E. Sai Baba Reddy, and Mr. C. Yella Reddy, Vice-Chairman of the Annamacharya Educational Trust, who congratulated the winners and encouraged students to develop a strong foundation in mathematics and analytical thinking.

On this occasion, Dr. L. Padmavathi delivered an insightful presentation on the life and achievements of Srinivasa Ramanujan. She highlighted his extraordinary contributions to mathematics and explained how his passion, perseverance, and innovative thinking transformed the field despite limited formal education. She emphasized that dedication, curiosity, and continuous practice can enable students to achieve excellence in any discipline. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. L. Padmavathi and served as an inspiring platform to promote mathematical awareness and appreciation among engineering students.
