Rajampet: A two-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is being conducted at Annamacharya University for third-year B.Tech students under the joint auspices of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and IBM. The workshop was inaugurated on Thursday, as informed by the Principal of the college, Dr. S. M. V. Narayana.

The chief guest for the event was Mr. E. Narendra, an IBM Skill Trainer from Edunet, Guntur. Addressing the participants, Mr. Narendra emphasized that Artificial Intelligence has brought revolutionary changes across various sectors in today’s era. He noted that in the coming days, technologies like AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning would emerge as powerful tools shaping the world.

He explained to the students the fundamentals, significance, and industrial applications of AI. Through practical demonstrations, he elaborated on key concepts such as analytics, model building, and data processing. He also provided insights into the job opportunities in the AI field, current industry demands, and the importance of obtaining relevant certifications.

Principal Dr. S. M. V. Narayana remarked that today’s students must be prepared for an AI-driven future. He stated that such workshops are instrumental in enhancing skills and act as guiding lights for students’ career growth.

The event witnessed the participation of Dr. T. Harikrishna, Head of the AIML Department, Dr. Swarna Surekha (Coordinator), faculty members, and students.
