Annamacharya University, under the aegis of the Women Empowerment Cell, organized a Yoga Awareness Program on the theme “Mind–Body Harmony: The Transformative Power of Sahaja Yoga.” The program aimed to promote mental well-being, physical health, and self-development among students and faculty members. Dr. A. Soujanya, District Coordinator of Sahaja Yoga, Nellore, served as the keynote speaker and provided valuable insights into the significance of Sahaja Yoga and meditation in achieving balance between the mind and body. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
During her address, Dr. Soujanya explained that regular meditation helps individuals attain mental peace, improved concentration, self-discipline, and better decision-making abilities. She highlighted the role of Sahaja Yoga in reducing stress, anxiety, and emotional disturbances while enhancing physical health through proper breathing techniques and inner energy awareness. She also emphasized that yoga can help overcome challenges such as insomnia, lack of confidence, and emotional instability. Furthermore, she noted that the practice of yoga fosters creativity, courage, time-management skills, and a positive outlook toward life, enabling individuals to face daily challenges effectively.
The program was graced by Dr. E. Sai Baba Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Annamacharya University, who stressed the importance of yoga and meditation in promoting mental and physical well-being, particularly among women. He encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routines to lead healthier and more balanced lives. The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. V. Mouneswari, Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Cell, who emphasized that empowering women through health awareness, self-confidence, and personal development remains a key objective of the Cell. The program successfully inspired participants to adopt yoga and meditation as tools for holistic well-being and personal growth.
