Annamacharya Educational Trust was founded in the year 1997 by Dr. C. Gangi Reddy that offers quality-driven engineering education to the rural youth. As the Founder and Honorary Secretary, Dr. Gangi Reddy established the first engineering college under the Trust, Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences near Thallapaka to enable the rural students of the region to experience engineering education amidst state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities, and enjoy the innovative teaching-learning process. Subsequently, he established three engineering institutions at Hyderabad, Tirupati and Kadapa. These colleges help the engineering graduates to reach sophisticated educational and professional level by developing their pertinent interpersonal skills, helping them to discover their individual niche, and connecting them with career assignments they are truly passionate about.

Annamacharya Educational Trust (AET), a trust registered under Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 with certificate of registration No: 135/IV/97 dated 13th August, 1997. Under the Trust, the first institute namely, Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Rajampet came up in 1998, to fulfill the aims of providing meaningful education; AET has been working towards establishing institutions in various districts of Rayalaseema region and Telangana state providing professional and technical education at Undergraduate, Graduate and Post graduate level.
